Presenting this exceptionally rare set of two (2) upholstered bentwood armchairs by Thonet.
Elevated by a solid foundation of hardwoods, this design combines flare with beautiful craft.
Iconic Bentwoods on display providing support for all of the resting points. Finished with the original heavy duty yellow vinyl.
This set is truly a rare pair by Thonet from 1970 and was sold by Laszlo Koltai in NYC.
These chairs are incredibly sturdy and have a bit more weight to them than they might appear. Very secure, no wobbling whatsoever.
If your looking to make a unique statement in your space, these will fully provide the means to do so.
Wood has been refinished and upholstery deep cleaned. There are a couple small nicks and stains on vinyl (last photo in listing shows the worst areas.) Overall, about 98% of the upholstery is in excellent condition.
This is a one of a kind set, make them yours today. Once they’re gone, they’re gone forever.
Width 24.5” / Depth 20” / Height 32.5”
Note: The tag shown in photo displays Laszlo Koltai as the “sold by” name from NYC. There is also a fragment of the “Thonet Chair Company” tag that remains underneath the chair but only displays the last 3 letters of the “company” part - thus why it is not included in these photos.
