Introducing this Set of 6 Aged Oak Mid-Century Dining Chairs in the manner of Børge Mogensen Model J39.
These chairs meant a lot to me when I brought them in. It's been awhile since I've received such rich pieces speaking to so many years of history, so full of patina yet also in quite exceptional condition.
The chairs have been carefully cleaned to remove heavy grime and paint while keeping the original finish and years of patina in tact. New hand rubbed finish applied using a non-toxic 0% VOC natural oil imported from Belgium to preserve the chairs while keeping their look and feel natural.
Joints have been inspected and have passed beautifully. Overall the chairs are very solid and in wonderful condition.
The herringbone woven design on the seats truly is gorgeous and unique. The aged Oak shows off such depth and even a glow like feel in certain lighting.
New felt foot glides have been added.
There are a couple minor spots of wear on one of the woven seats, but it is hard to notice for the naked eye.
This set consist of 6 truly wonderful gems boasting of much character. They are ready for decades more of use and you will be thrilled to have them in your space.
Dimensions:
Although all 6 are side chair designs, 2 of them are intentionally larger than the rest as they would be used at the head of the table.
